Fashion is responsible for between 3 percent and 8 percent of total greenhouse gas emissions.

As DIYers (Knitters & Crocheters) you care in a unique position to positively impact Climate Change with the times you create. Consider carefully, which yarns you use to craft your creations. Consider Recycled Yarns which can offer unique character to your treasures.

Consider making your items with longevity in mind. You take alot of time to make your projects. Often, when you make them, you want to hold on to them and so do the people you typically gift them to.

Consider the end-of-life of your item. Once you are done using it, what other ways can you give it a second life:

  1. Recycle your gently used Clothes

  2. Donate gently loved Clothes

We have truly enjoyed brining you this series on the impact of fashion on Climate Change, we hope that it empowers you to make eco-friendly purchases and creations.

How can you make your DIY one of a kind. How will you decorate and supply your back to school/college? Which crafts do you do?
